Innovation and sustainability from Leoben
The ZAT Leoben was founded in 1999 as the first academic incubator in Austria by the Montanuniversität Leoben and the city of Leoben. The main target group of the incubator was originally the students, researchers and doctoral students of the Montanuniversität Leoben.
In 2023, the "Green Startup Center Leoben" project was launched, funded by the Just Transition Fund (JTF) of the European Union in cooperation with the Green Startupmark. The aim of the project is to support startups related to the Green Deal. These "green" startup ideas from the JTP region receive support in creating their business plans (Startup Combo), building their prototypes and developing a proof of concept (Green Incubees - Preseed).
Green Startupmark and Green Startup Centre Leoben, in cooperation with ZAT Leoben, support sustainable innovations and promote green start-ups in the Upper Styria region. We offer start-ups the necessary infrastructure, consulting services and a strong network to successfully implement their ideas and establish themselves on the market in the long term.
